I’m glad it’s Christmas.
My only regret for this year’s Christmas season is that it has gone by way too fast. I don’t feel like I’ve had time to enjoy it this year. We have been so busy, going from one thing to the next, that I feel like it has all slipped past and I missed it. I never put off buying a gift for my wife, but this year I’m shopping on Christmas Eve. Yikes!
Interestingly enough, we did manage to get some Christmas cards sent out this year. (Sorry if you didn’t get one. We probably just don’t like you.)
It has been a year of ups and downs. God has blessed us with enough video and photography work to keep us busy. We are also blessed to attend such a wonderful church. It was such a relief to find out that Becky didn’t have anything wrong in her noggin. We were seriously concerned that brain surgery was in her future. I’m still enduring a re-organization where I work. I’ll be glad when that is all over, especially if I still have a job!
This Christmas season, focus on Christ! All the other stuff is fluff. He is the reason we celebrate, but most have forgotten. At best, some will acknowledge Him in passing. We all get way too tied up in our pursuit of the season, and we forget the One that should be at the center.
Merry Christmas!
